To protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. By providing the Foundation with your information online or offline, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.<\/p>\n<h4>Types of Personal Information that We Collect<\/h4>\n<p>When you engage with the Foundation or visit or use our online donation and sales systems, we collect a variety of information. The type of information we collect depends upon the nature of the interaction. NOTE: Contact information is collected only if you voluntarily provide it, for example by submitting a form or signing up for an email newsletter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Financial Information<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you make a donation to the Foundation or make a purchase through The Skin Cancer Foundation store, we will collect payment information such as your credit card number to process your transaction. We use a third-party payment service to process payments. We will retain your credit card information only for as long as necessary to process the transaction(s).<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location, Web Behavior and Technology<\/strong><br \/>\nWe may capture the IP address and ID of the device you use to connect to the online service, the type of operating system and browser you use, and information about the site you came from, the parts of our online service you access, the type of mobile device you use and the site you visit next.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Call Notes\/ Recordings\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you call The Skin Cancer Foundation, we may take notes detailing the nature of the call and\/or record the call for training and quality assurance purposes. The information contained in these transcripts will depend on what you voluntarily provide to the Foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>How We Use This Information<\/h4>\n<p>The Skin Cancer Foundation does not rent or sell any information about our subscribers and donors. The Skin Cancer Foundation does not sell, rent or lease its mailing list to third parties.<\/p>\n<h4>Links to Third-Party Websites<\/h4>\n<p>The Skin Cancer Foundation may provide links to websites that are owned or operated by others (\u201cthird-party websites\u201d). When you use a link online to visit a third-party website, you will be subject to that website\u2019s privacy and security practices, which may differ from ours. You should familiarize yourself with the privacy policy, terms of use and security practices of the linked third-party website before providing any information on that website.<\/p>\n<p>Although every effort is made to ensure that links to third party websites are to reputable sources, the Foundation does not control and is not responsible for the content or links that appear on these websites.<\/p>\n<h4>Cookies<\/h4>\n<p>The Skin Cancer Foundation\u2019s website and apps use cookies and similar technologies such as pixel tags to save you time and automate our ability to provide better services. They remind us who you are and your preferences for our website based on what you\u2019ve done and told us before. The cookie is placed in your computer and is read when you come back to our website. Cookies let us take you to the information and features you\u2019re particularly interested in, and we use them to serve you ads in other networks. They also let us track your usage of our sites, so we know which parts of our sites are most popular.<\/p>\n<p>You can decide whether or not to accept cookies. One way you can do this is through your\u00a0internet browser\u2019s settings. If you\u00a0do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site\u00a0and some services and functionalities may not work.<\/p>\n<h4>California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA)<\/h4>\n<p>The Skin Cancer Foundation is based in the United States and this Privacy\u00a0Policy complies with U.S. data privacy\u00a0requirements including the California Consumer Privacy Act. The\u00a0CCPA\u00a0gives California consumers various rights with respect to the personal information we collect, including the right to (subject to certain limitations):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Request to access the personal information the Foundation has about you<\/li>\n<li>Request that the Foundation delete all of your personal information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>California users may make a request by contacting us at\u00a0info@skincancer.org. We will authenticate your request using the email address associated with your constituent record and if necessary, proof of residency.<\/p>\n<h4>Children<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Foundation does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any personal data to the Foundation. The Foundation encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children\u2019s internet usage and help enforce this Privacy Policy by instructing children to never provide personal data without their permission. In the event that we learn that we have inadvertently gathered personal information from children under the age of 13, the Foundation will take reasonable measures to promptly erase such information from our records.<\/p>\n<h4>Changes to This Privacy Statement<\/h4>\n<p>We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time.
